"Drink this. Don't eat that."
When it comes to running nutrition, things can get overwhelming—and fast.
With so many different options available, it can be difficult to know which supplements you really need to fuel your runs and when to use them.
In this workshop, you'll learn about the key components to fuelling your runs and the differences between the popular sports drinks, gels, and electrolytes you see on the shelves—and how you can use them to meet your own unique needs as a runner and create your own fueling plan.
Presented by Andrea Docherty, RDAndrea Docherty is a Registered Dietitian and sports nutritionist with 10 years experience working with runners and triathletes. She helps endurance athletes develop flexible nutrition plans that promote balanced eating habits, a healthy relationship with food and better performance.
She is the owner of Andrea Docherty Nutrition, an online nutrition coaching business and is the host of the podcast The Fuelled Triathlete.

Injuries, we've all had 'em. And while things happen, there are steps we can take to become stronger, injury-resistant runners.
The first part of this workshop will explore common injuries among runners (we see you shin splints!) and strategies to mitigate them and stay healthy on the run.
Then we'll hit the mat for a strength and recovery-focused class—combining strength and Pilates-based movements designed to support runners from head-to-toe.
Presented by Sabrina Safranyos, Registered physiotherapist.
Sabrina is a Registered Physiotherapist and founder of Synergy Physiotherapy & Pilates. As a former competitive volleyball player, multi-sport athlete and coach, she has a strong background in exercise, strength and conditioning and injury prevention.
Sabrina is certified in Functional Dry Needling, a Barefoot Training Specialist and has completed the Polestar Pilates Teacher Training, which gives her a unique perspective when it comes to working with her clients. She's worked with mid- and long-distance runners from a preventative and rehabilitative standpoint in order to improve performance, reduce risk of injury and support them with an integrative approach.

This isn’t your regular workshop. Katrine will begin with a “basics of running form” workshop which will combine drills and self reflection. Throughout the weekend, Katrine will then be providing all runners with 1-1 support to understand how your body moves while you’re running.
You’ll get tips and exercises for improving your running form so you can be stronger (and more efficient) runner and feel good doing it. Questions along the way? Just ask Katrine!
Presented by Katrine Stolarchuk, MScPT, Registered Physiotherapist
Katrine is a registered physiotherapist and endurance/triathlon coach with Triphecta Performance.
Working in the neurological rehab field, supporting patients with strokes, spinal cord injuries, and MS to name a few, Katrine combines her expertise in biomechanics and human movement and love for sport to support runners of all levels. 100%. It’s about running but it’s also not about running.
At The Runners’ Retreats, our goal is to connect you with resources (AKA experts) and community you need to become a better runner—no matter where you are on your running journey.
For the runs, we’ll be running at a social pace. We’ll have runner guides with us for support and we always lead from the back—meaning no one gets dropped and you’ll never hear the words too slow from us on retreat weekends.
-
Not at all. Our retreats are about setting yourself up for your personal best. But we’re definitely not going for any speed records or Strava segments on the retreat (at least not as a group).
For the most part, group runs will be held run at a social pace. If there is a workout, we will be providing different options—so you can go at your own pace.
We’ll have runner guides with us for support and we always lead from the back—meaning no one gets dropped and you’ll never hear the words too slow from us on retreat weekends (or ever.)
